About Swaddle Me Close
Jessie the owner

Jessie is a career nanny and proud new mom who for over 11 years worked as a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist and who most of her adult life worked with newborns and many sets of multiples. Her goal as a postpartum doula is to support the bonding period as each family begins their journey at home. She enjoys seeing the family content and confident. She is passionate about guiding both parents through the ins and out of new parenthood, while reminding each family of their strength and capability.

Over the past 12 years she has worked with many families, including over 10 sets of twins! As a trained sleep coach, she has also taken pride in helping each family sleep coach their babies. As a postpartum doula for the past seven years, she has worked with families in Center City Northeast Philadelphia and South Jersey with a specialization in multiples families. She enjoys to continually learn about lactation support and staying up to date on evidence-based information for new families. Jessie went to Nyack college for early education and finished with credits toward her bachelors, concentrating in kindergarten.

Currently residing in Wenonah, New Jersey, you will see her cooking, biking, but mostly spending time with her son in any way she can. She loves being creative, and as a nanny she loves coming up with ways to do crafts with the young ones and help them to developmentally grow.

Jessie's greatest joy and proudest moment is becoming a new mom in 2022. Her son is a happy and healthy big boy who has taught her so much! Her husband and herself are extremely proud and are a very close-knit family.

Yes, I support births in hospitals, birth centers, and home settings throughout South New Jersey and nearby areas.

When should I hire a doula?
Many families hire a doula early in pregnancy, but support can begin at any stage. The earlier we connect, the more preparation and guidance I can provide.

Will a doula replace my partner or support person?
No. I work alongside partners and loved ones, offering guidance and encouragement so they can feel confident and involved.

Do you offer postpartum support?
Yes, postpartum doula support is available to help with emotional well-being, newborn care education, and adjusting to life with a new baby.
